Global Health Readings – June #2

A useful Kaiser primer on global health that includes a brief overview of current GH issues as well as very helpful discussion of the flow of finance from the US towards these problems.
A UN news piece pointing out three critical summits this year that will respectively address financing for development (in follow-up to the 2007 Doha conference), ratify some manner of Sustainable Development Goals in follow-up to the Millennium Development Goals, and tackle climate change. Each of these has the potential to have considerable impact in the development sphere, though we’ll have to see what comes out of them.
The latest IHME report discussing finances of global health. A useful topic to keep abreast of; in particular, seeing the breakdown of the various funding sources is handy.  A graphic display of the same data can be found at: http://www.healthdata.org/data-visualization/financing-global-health
